Montessori

En el enfoque Montessori desarrollamos la independencia y el aprendizaje autónomo a través de materiales cuidadosamente diseñados y un ambiente preparado. Los niños eligen sus actividades libremente, siguiendo su propio ritmo natural de desarrollo. Los adultos actúan como guías, observando y apoyando sin interrumpir el proceso de descubrimiento.

In the Montessori approach we develop independence and autonomous learning through carefully designed materials and a prepared environment. Children choose their activities freely, following their own natural pace of development. Adults act as guides, observing and supporting without interrupting the discovery process.

Carmen Rosa Figueroa

Fundadora / Propietaria Founder / Owner

Carmen nació el 18 de abril de 1990 en Cuba. Desde pequeña mostró una profunda empatía y conexión con los niños, lo que la llevó a construir su carrera en la educación temprana. Comenzó su trayectoria en el cuidado infantil en 2016, trabajando con bebés y preescolares en centros educativos donde perfeccionó sus técnicas pedagógicas y de desarrollo infantil.

En 2019, motivada por el deseo de impactar positivamente a su comunidad y apoyar a las familias locales que necesitaban cuidado infantil de calidad, fundó Happy Kids. El enfoque del centro gira en torno a un cuidado integral basado en la educación emocional, social y cognitiva de cada niño, construyendo un espacio donde todos se sientan valorados y apoyados.

Carmen was born on April 18, 1990, in Cuba. From an early age she showed deep empathy and connection with young children, which led her to build her career in early childhood education. She began her childcare career in 2016, working with infants and preschoolers in educational centers where she refined her pedagogical and child development techniques.

In 2019, motivated by a desire to make a positive community impact and support local families needing quality childcare, she founded Happy Kids. The center's approach centers on comprehensive care grounded in each child's emotional, social, and cognitive development, building a space where every child feels valued and supported.

Daniela Ruiz

Educadora Educator

Daniela es de origen cubano, hablante nativa de español y también de inglés. Comenzó su formación musical a los nueve años y obtuvo un título profesional en música. Cuenta con varios años de experiencia trabajando con niños en Oregon, desde bebés hasta los 13 años.

Se describe a sí misma como alegre, comprensiva y altamente adaptable, enfocada en las necesidades individuales de cada niño con empatía y respeto. Formada en los métodos Reggio Emilia y Montessori, los aplica diariamente para fomentar la autonomía, la creatividad y el aprendizaje a través del juego y la exploración. Está comprometida con el desarrollo integral de cada niño en un ambiente seguro donde se sientan valorados y motivados a aprender.

Daniela is of Cuban origin, a native Spanish speaker who also speaks English. She began musical training at age nine and earned a professional degree in music. She has several years of experience working with children in Oregon, from infants through age 13.

She describes herself as cheerful, understanding, and highly adaptable, focused on each child's individual needs with empathy and respect. Trained in Reggio Emilia and Montessori methods, she applies them daily to foster autonomy, creativity, and learning through play and exploration. She is committed to each child's holistic development in a safe environment where they feel valued and motivated to learn.
